Asian nose bridge surgery available with NYC doctor

Many Asian patients in the NYC area who are concerned about the shape and appearance of the bridge of their nose may consider the benefits of plastic surgery, specifically a nose job or “rhinoplasty.” The rhinoplasty procedure is a highly desirable option for individuals who feel their nose is not in balance or harmony with their facial structures. However, many Asian patients want to maintain their ethnic appearance. With the help of Dr. Edmund Kwan of NYC, patients can achieve results while maintaining their ethnic identity.

What happens during Asian nose bridge surgery?

Patients often have questions about what they can expect from this procedure. During an initial evaluation and consultation appointment with Dr. Edmund Kwan, a discussion will occur regarding the best way to achieve the patient’s desired results. This may include the removal of a hump and narrowing of the bridge. It may also involve augmenting the bridge with a nasal implant. The implant is customized for each patient. The primary goal is to give patients the results they desire while maintaining the natural, soft contours of the nose as well.

What are alternative options?

For some patients, injectables might be used to change the shape and size of the nose without surgical treatment. These injectables, known as dermal fillers, can be strategically placed throughout the nose, around the bridges or nostrils, to achieve the desired results. However, the results are not permanent. This might be an excellent option for a patient who is unsure if they want to undergo surgical intervention and may be suggested to “try out” a change in the nose to see if it is a good fit. During a consultation appointment, patients are welcome to ask about surgical and nonsurgical Asian nose bridge solutions.
